Pure Effect provides an extensive range of Activated Carbon filter media (for both air and liquid filtration) in various mesh sizes and performance characteristics. This enables us to handle projects of any size and complexity, from removal of common hydrocarbon solvents to complex synthetic compounds used in industry and in our environment.

Our inventory includes coconut shell base, coal base granular, pelletized grades, coal base water washed and acid washed (for specialty applications), and NSF drinking water grade activated carbon for potable water applications.

Specialty Activated Carbon and Specialty Media Information

Pure Effect carries a full line of specialty impregnated carbon media for use where standard activated carbon is not effective in controlling constituents/contaminants in both air and water streams. For example, specialty media is used to control hydrogen sulfide gas in sewer gas, and to remove of arsenic from water.
