Dewatering Treatment
Pure Effect provides turnkey dewatering solutions for clients in many industries, including the environmental, petroleum and construction industries. Thirty years of experience in design and application and our ongoing regulatory training enable us to take care of our clients' dewatering projects from beginning to end, no matter the size or complexity.
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System [NPDES]
The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System [NPDES] program is a federal program (generally administered by individual states) that controls water pollution by regulating point sources that discharge pollutants into U.S. waters. Groundwater, construction dewatering water and other sources are discharged to the storm drain under this program.
Pure Effect provides a turnkey treatment package that completely handles the requirements of this program. We evaluate the waste water stream; design and engineer the groundwater treatment system; prepare and submit the NPDES permit application; obtain the permit; place the treatment process (rental or sale); manage the Monitoring and Reporting Program, as required by the NPDES program; provide all sampling, analysis, and reporting as required.
Sewer Discharge
Many areas allow the discharge of construction dewatering water into sewer systems. However, some areas do not allow groundwater discharge to the sewer.
Pure Effect can assist you in evaluating this discharge option, and provide a complete package for dealing with it. We evaluate the waste water stream; design and engineer the treatment system; prepare and submit the sewer discharge permit application; obtain the permit; place the treatment process (rental or sale); manage the Monitoring and Reporting Program as required; provide all required sampling, analysis, and reporting.
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan [SWPPP]
A Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is a formal permit process that addresses rain and storm water treatment (surface water) discharges from these sites. This process is required for most construction sites. Pure Effect can assist in evaluating and writing the SWPPP for your project, including potential requirements for treating rain/storm water discharges to meet the requirement of this program. Pure Effect can also assist you with the monitoring and reporting requirements of this permit program.
