Gray Water Treatment Systems

Gray Water Treatment Plant

With the emergence of water conservation, reclamation, and reutilization in the United States, gray water has become a focal point.

Water from sinks, showers, laundries and other sources that does not contain any sanitary wastes is considered to be gray water. It can come from domestic, industrial and commercial facilities.

Gray water is generally an excellent source of reclaimable water that, after properly treated, can be reutilized for landscape irrigation, wash water for vehicles, potential water for cooling towers, and many other uses.

In addition, there are many new and proposed regulations that will mandate the use of gray water for achieving Green Building recycling and energy reduction objectives, including The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System®.

Pure Effect is a leader in gray water treatment methods, treatment systems, and reutilization systems. Our current projects include:

  • Gray water treatment system for a 500 person university dormitory facility in California. After treatment, the reclaimed water will be used for landscape irrigation and for flushing toilets.
  • Gray water and fresh water blending system for irritation of a golf course in California, designed to offset over 45% of current domestic water usage.
  • Gray water recovery and treatment system to provide wash water for an ambulance company fleet in Southern California.

Not all sources of gray water are alike. Pure Effect can evaluate and engineer the correct, efficient system for your gray water recycling needs. Contact us for a complete evaluation.
