Our Typical Projects

3,000 GPM Dewatering Treatment System Rental in Los Angeles Area removing pesticides and solids from dredging a lake that is part of the city storm water conveyance. Target Contaminants: Turbidity, TSS and Pesticides and the system was 100% compliant with the discharge requirements. Pure Effect worked along side a dewatering contractor to accomplish the compliant treatment.

800 GPM Construction Dewatering Treatment system, Biologically Sensitive Malibu Lagoon Restoration project, Coastal Los Angeles, discharge to the Pacific Ocean Surf Zone, discharge target contaminants Bacteria: Total and Fecal Coliform, Enterococcus, Trace Heavy Metals: Copper, Total Suspended Solids, Turbidity, Acute Toxicity. Pure Effect worked with a dewatering treatment contractor to achieve 100% compliance with project objectives, NPDES, Coastal Commission and City of Malibu permits.

8,000 GPM Construction Dewatering Contractor Treatment Rental system, Heavy Construction – high capacity road bridge construction de-watering project, South Orange County CA, deep excavation [ >75’ BGS] de-watering, discharge to land, discharge target contaminants Trace Heavy Metals: Manganese, Iron, Settleable Solids, Total Suspended Solids, Turbidity. Dewatering Contractor and Dewatering Treatment to achieve 100% compliance with project objectives.

400 GPM construction dewatering groundwater treatment system, coastal Los Angeles, NPDES discharge permit to the Pacific Ocean Surf Zone, target contaminants Trace Heavy Metals: Copper, Nickel, Zinc, Total Suspended Solids, Turbidity. Achieved 100% compliance with project objectives and NPDES permit requirements.

30 GPM groundwater treatment system rental, Griffith Park - Los Angeles, storm drain outfall to the Los Angeles River, target contaminants Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons [Gasoline] Trace Heavy Metals: Lead, Total Suspended Solids, Turbidity. Critical to this project, the construction dewatering treatment systems operated 24/7 for the entire construction dewatering phase with no downtime and achieved 100% compliance with project objectives and NPDES permit requirements.

50 GPM system, Contaminated Groundwater Remediation Site, West Los Angeles, NPDES Discharge site specific, target contaminants Trace Heavy Metals: Hexavalent Chromium [Cr 6], Volatile Organic Compounds, 1-4 Dioxane, Total Suspended Solids, Turbidity. Limited Site Footprint for Remediation Created Unique Treatment Engineering System Challenges; Successfully Designed, Installed Treatment System Within Allocated Area, Regenerating Process Media for Reduced Project Waste Generation. Achieving 100% compliance with project objectives and NPDES permit requirements.

2,500 SCFM Dual Extraction – Soil Vapor and Groundwater from Dry Cleaner Tank Leak, Central California area, 30 GPM groundwater, sewer discharge target contaminants Volatile Organic Compounds [Perchloroethylene] in both air and water phases, Total Suspended Solids, Turbidity. Achieved 100% compliance with project objectives, Air Agency Emission Control Permit and POTW permit requirements. Helped meet project objective for DTSC Site Closure for Both Soil and Groundwater for future site development.

5,000 SCFM Industrial air stream emission control, central Orange County CA, SCAQMD Permitted site specific, target contaminants Volatile Organic Compounds. 24 hr./day demand, for specialty military specification product production, Achieving 100% compliance with military specification project objectives and SCAQMD permit requirements. All used granular activated carbon from this project was 100% recycled for re-use – zero-waste discharge project.

8,000 GPM sand filter systems for removal of suspended solids/matter; at this installation in coastal Southern California urban run-off water is filtered prior to discharge to the Pacific Ocean and meeting all coastal discharge permit requirements. 100% automated operation relieved city engineers and operators from daily operations, the system reports all operating conditions to the city’s main operations center including when maintenance is required/pending, saving the city time and funds.
